Hi Andy, I actually agree with you, I went out this day and took pictures and was not too happy with any of them because I hate photographing on a really bright hot sunny day, but at the time I thought, what the heck but it on.....thanks for your comments, appreciated...Josie

The water is beautiful and clear Josie. It's got a that look which is very similar to the New Zealand lakes.
I walked this trail a number of years back. It started out with fine hot weather but later it changed to wild windy conditions, very overcast and murky by the time that I reached the finish.

Looks like a beautiful place. I wonder if a polariser would have helped bring up the foreground stones a little more?

the obvious downside of editing it deeper would be the unbelievable clarity you have in the water which everyone here seems to love..me inc!!
