Great picture, fantastic tones and use of the light and vignetting.
I opened this one with half the expectation to see a rider in trouble or in the middle of getting thrown off. Napping in horse terms means shying away from an object, going side ways and backwards at the same time, the may lead to rearing up. Of course you probably already know this and were using the title as a pun.

Well, I don't think this is perfect...lol....but I can tell you I love looking at it...I looked and looked and then I was aware that I was going huh....huh...huh....(that's a good thing)...it's the lighting that doing it for me....by highlighting the horses with light, I feel that you are bringing out the essence of contentment and companionship...thus bringing out a strong emotion.
It's the sprigs in the forefront that detract me. It's funny how I don't see the sprigs in my own eye

Hi Genese,
The use of DoF here along with the use of tone and vignette, all add to the feeling of ths image. I think they all compliment each other to create a successful capture of a moment in time. I would have personally liked to have seen a small glimmer of light on the side of the face of the horse with its head raised. (Just enough to add a small amount of detail in the shadow).
By the way, what is the ransom for their return, now that you are into horse napping down there?
Regards....Phil

it started out life as a ordinary photo which was pretty good but no wow factor ... so being the person i am i had to play with it ... it was the lighting that made me carry on, more art work than photography i guess... i do both and sometimes like in this case they cross paths
