The water is a nice peaty brown. Like the way you got in close. I tried that once up here & the lens got soaked!. The branches / greenery along bottom right catch my eye but there was probably little room to move the camera position. Like it

Hi Peter,
Very dramatic shot with good vibrant colours. I think the blurred leaves on the tree in the foreground make for a good frame, adding scale and distance and extra interest. My only slight crit is when you decide to blur an area within an image, after making the selction use the feather option before blur. This will smooth the edges of the selected area and help iliminate those tell tale sharp edges.
Best regards....Phil

Thanks Phil as a rule of thumb how many pixels should I allow for feather? I think I used 25 in this images as the selction was small
Cheers Peter

Hi Peter,
This is dependant on the size of the image you are working on at the time. I generally like to work on an image with a picture resolution of 300 pixels per inch. Taking this into consideration I know then when I use the feather tool I can then work at around 3 pixels and modify the results from there. It is also dependant on how close you originally chose your selection area with the selection tool. Once I am happy with my selected area, I can then choose to work either within the selcted area of from outside the area by choosing inverse from the drop down list of select.
Regards....Phil
