Nice one Toby, like the framing leading to the scenery, Sky blown out though a bit, if you shot raw you could have exposed for the foreground then the sky and blended them to get the best overall exposure. Nice image though Toby.

Thanks Denis, I did shoot this in raw, so I will try and blend the two to recover. Thanks for advice, brilliant site to get opions on shots ;-)

Oddly, the verticals look vertical but the horizontals dip to the left. Maybe you had to be a bit off-centre to get the view you wanted.
Because I don't shoot in RAW (until encouraged by this forum) I would have exposed for the light parts of the sky, then "lightened shadows" in PSEv6. Doubtless more fun, and time, and success playing with raw files. Let's see the results in a reply. It's a nicely framed show, so it'll be worth the effort fixing the exposure levels, IMO (no H here)

Hi Toby: nice image well put together; I have to agree with Dennis about sky. I think the horizon dipping to the left is possibly a hill skyline as all other aspect seem to be on correct angle.

Hello Len,
No, I wasn't referring to the hills (which dip to the right) but the crossbars of the pergola.

Perhaps its an optical pollution! Or Toby leans over to one side when shooting!
