This is a Wattled Plover. I thought the distinctive facial markings were attractive on this one.

This is a very good shot Mary I see you used a focal length of 400mm did you use a tripod ? I think the focus is a little off it’s on the birds feet instead of it’s body.

Thanks Bryan for your input- I agree with your assesment. I was shooting out of a vehicle using a beanbag for stabilization which was really the only option- wish I could have used the tripod- probably would have improved on the focus some.

Looks like he has been standing in a tin of yellow paint . Another fine bird image, looks nice and sharp to me, other than the end of his beak. Again you have managed to isolate the bird and have no distracting background, well done.
