Lovely lighting. Pretty colour and lovely detail in this super sharp shot. Just not sure about the background

Thanks Maureen for your comments. The stem on the flower was broken so I picked it and put it in a brass bowl in some water. The bowl had some patina thus the color- hope that explains the rather unorthodox background. Mary

Hi Mary .. that explains it all to me ... nice crisp macro of the fall crocus .. they truly are lovely .. going to try to get a few more photos of them before the rain arrives here in White Rock .. the rain will finish them off for sure .. Thanks for sharing ..

Thanks Else- always thought these flowers were a little confused- they just look like something that should be coming up in the Spring and not the Fall. mary
