I had intended shooting the scene with some really interesting clouds over the hills in the distance, but when i arrived the clouds closed in and it started pouring, resulting in a pretty grey and un-interesting scene. Not one to be put off by mother nature's little games, i decided to shoot the scene and have a play around back at home. So, basically, there has been a little bit of editing to create the finished scene, as you can tell from the original (attached). The crops were treated to some HDR, while the sky was enhanced by some filter work. A little bit of lens flare was used to create the sunrise (the shot was actually taken well into the afternoon), and the pigeon was added to, well, erm... Just for the sake of it, really (ok, so i like birds!). And the moral of the story is: Don't give up! The conditions may not be quite what you were hoping for, but it doesn't mean it was a wasted journey! There is ALWAYS a shot there, if you think outside the box.
