Appologies about the delay with this project - work busy cos of bank holiday and missus wanting to do things... LOL.... <ahem><shuffles feet>
After playing around with original image trying to get the lighthouse walkways looking better, I decided to HDR the whole image, which can be seen from the first thumbnail below.
I didn't want to go Ultra Contrast with this one (although I did try and it spoilt it), so I stuck with 'Eye Catching' and adjusted the sliders to suit.
Back in Photoshop, the final stage was to select select the sky and adjust its levels once again, then adjusting the saturation slightly on the foreground. Next I used the Burn tool on the sky to bring out areas more.
Lastly, with a the whole project merged into its own separate layer, the ship was moved more central to the piers, water spots removed, and then Noise Ninja applied.
There is probably more that could be done, but its knowing when to stop!
