Default Watery Grave.

Photographers Comments
Tried a few different exposures to get the balance between foreground & background but most of them were to long and a bit burnt out and the water looked to blurred, this was my fave of about 30 or so.

I think you've got the balance just about right Steve. I'm glad you held in there and took a variety of shots at different exposures. Its so easy just to fire of a shot, then get back home and wish you had taken some others.

To be honest, my favourite part of the pic is the tiny little grasses growing out of the bottom right corner of the gravestone. It just adds a little bit of softness to the harsh cold and grey of the stone.

I've always been a bit unsure about including peoples names on any graves that i have photographed, for fear of upsetting any relatives, but thats just a personal thing with me. There is a gravestone near me for a pet dog that i really want to shoot, but i think i will have to approach the land owner's first. Saying that, it is a VERY old grave...

Well done with the shot though, mate!
