Hi Bev Your usual sharp crisp image with just the right amount DOF to show him in great detail well done I wonder how long he's been behind the bars/glass or whether he has ever been free he looks a good age yet still has a majestic proud aire about him.

I don't like this image.
Yes, i think its really well shot, and i wouldn't expect anything less from you Bev. And yes, he's a beautiful cat. But the reason i don't like it is because of the emotion you have captured so well. I can't help but feel so very sorry for the lion who looks like he has just about given up. No animal should have its soul destroyed like this one seems to have.
Ok, it may be just the way it appears in this shot, but it really is an emotional capture. For that reason, i'd give you top marks, Bev. The greatest shots are not always the nicest to look at.

A beautiful shot Bev that captures the caged mentality of this lovely creature- how sad. Powerful image- hard to look at but so well done. Mary

Len, Thank you. I think he has been there some time so i hear, he is in with a lioness who has been his partner for some time also, these animals never tire of giving that superiority aura about them, but this chaps seem to be wearing a little thin i think.
Paul..Thank you, and for your total honest opinion, i can understand peoples thoughts on this as i was slightly unsure whether to post it or not as i didnt want to upset people, but animals in captivity is reality and i had to say what came to me when i was taking it, this was'nt the only image i captured that day showing emotion...i left feeling rather gloomy.
Mary..Thanks also and i understand your feelings on this...
