I like this last one best......but....the frame has gotta go. It's my opinion that it overpowers the detailing of the carnation.

Have to agree with Fay here not sure about that border, a little too much i think which takes the enphisus away from the flower..but definately better that the first.

Much better John! if you want to add borders try and keep them simple, just so they emphasize the subject in the frame, hope you dont mind but i have done a copy of the carnation using a small black outline frame just for your thoughts.
Everyone has different tastes on borders and frames John so its just trying to find the one that compliments the subject and doesnt look too vibrant.
