Hi everybody,

Just like to say a quick hello.

I'm a 52 year grandad, from Birmingham, with very little photography experience.

My wife talked me into getting a Dslr, I think to keep me out of her hair

, so I did, i have had it now a few months and now I want to start taking a few shots.

I have given quite a bit of thought as to what type of photography, and for the time being I have decided on macro photography.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike, nice to see another local joining the gang, we are a good bunch here (watch out for Mello & TCO-dodgy!! LOL)

Anything just ask and someone will pile in, look forward to seeing some of your images. we have a few macro experts here have a look at Tawnys gallery, i have posted a few after learning from mostly Tawny (Bev)

Hi Mike and welcome, hope that you enjoy your stay with us. I'm sure that you will soon get to recognise a few names after a while of being here, as already said Bev otherwise known as 'Tawny' is the expert around here on Macro, but some of us of trying to catch up, so just get posting and uploading a few images and you will learn a lot from the feedback.
