Hello there fellow photographers! I'm Steve, 34 year old from the Merseyside region. I've been taking photographs since I was in single figures, as has my brother, as our father, and his father are/where keen photographs.
I probably didn't take a serious interest in the subject between the ages of about 18 to 30 and just used to take snaps at family events and holidays, however I decided to revisit things upon my 30th birthday and had the family, and some of our own money, used to get myself a Canon 300D .. which is still my active 'serious' camera.. although we also have a pocket sized Casio for the nightout/family party situations.
I'm hoping to develop my fairly amateurish techniques via this site and the feedback from all of you is something I will look forward to reading as i am sure I have much to learn!

Its a great place bud. Fun and informative. Paul is the resident Godfather and site owner and a fine human being to boot.

Been trying a few sites over the past year, but none have quite been what I was after.. things are looking pretty good here though.. nice active community, but not overly large so you can't hope to keep up with posts. I'm very hopeful

Even gotten my first picture up.. I guess to maximise effectiveness I should stick to a low number of photo uploads per week. I use Flickr as my photo dump, so only me more specialist items will be making their way here anyway.

Good to know, nothing should be too serious all the time
