Default Anthony Beck

Right, I'm going for a different approach here.
Hi Anthony,
it seems you have had a bumpy ride on your first day within Phototopix. Personally, I like to see the forum grow and go from strength to strength, for this we need new members with new ideas.
I think you have found the best form on the net and I'm not sucking up here, there is something different about Phototopix, something that undoubtably started before I joined.
This is a place where you can get help with a range of problems from people that care about photography, quickly and easily, the people on here seem to be able to do this while at the same time having a shed load of fun, jokes, anti Nikon - anti Canon banter all in good taste. It's like something happened that was meant to be.
There is no Clique, people like other peoples photo's yes, that doesn't mean newcomers are left out in the cold. One 'newcomer' that springs to mind is Paul Cook, great photo's, all his own style and most people think they are great, even if a little odd at times! Also lifesaver dude, sorry can't recall the name at the moment, first photo is an absolute stunner...

If I ask for serious crit, I will be expecting help with what I did wrong such as "try kneeling down next time for a better composition" or "there's some motion blur there, it would look better with a faster shutter speed" instead of people saying "you got good colours there" or "looks like a fun place to be".
I don't want to read "your photo's crap", sorry, that aint helpful at all. i already know it's crap, that's why I needed help in the first place.

So, welcome Anthony, welcome all, this is a great forum and I really hope it grows with people from all over with different opinions, but people that join in with the current spirit we have here.

Welcome to the site Anthony,
I am sorry to hear that your first experience did not go to plan. If you do have any future problems, just PM me and I will do what I can. If I cannot help, I will pass the info onto Paul. (He's a very busy man). However never be afraid to ask. There are plenty of willing and able people here to give very good advice on all subjects.
