Hi from a total newbie!

Hello, hail, and well met to one and all! I have just been bought a neat little digital camera, and suddeny l find myself bitten with the bug. Every day I find myself looking around and noticing things more than previously, just in case there's something worth capturing.

I have a couple of books, but I think it needs more than that to learn to take photographs, and having come across this site it seems I might have found the place.

I hope to get to know some of you, and I hope you will bear with me if I can't find stuff in the forums and have to ask typical newbie questions.

You're right ...... when I started, I too found myself looking at the world through new eyes, enjoy the time you spend with your camera and the tim eyou spend here

Hi there Paul & Phil - thanks for the welcome! I'm already learning lots here. Great to be made so welcome and this seems a great environment for getting feedback without feeling threatened or belittled (me being such a sensitive old soul....ahem).

Hi Chris,
Welcome aboard from one newbie to another, this seems to be a very freindly and helpful site, full of photographers who really know there stuff, I'm looking forward to learning how to improve my picture taking and editing as well.
