hi pat welcome to the site.. we are a varied bunch here its impossible not to fit in.. dont be scared of your nikon first thing find the reset button and once you have found that play till your hearts content and you can always reset if you mess the settings up... then in time when you know your camera better you wont need to reset there really is nothing scarey about digital cameras
