Default From Sunny South Wales (at moment)

Hi all,

Just joined this forum after seeing link from another well known and used forum, lets hope that this one proves just as popular, as this is my first post here we will see if they have spell check on board (as I need it).

I mainly use Nikon equipment, but do own a Canon G7 as a compact. My main interest is infra-red and cave photography, and just about anything else when a competition comes up. And yes we do have spell check as it has found quite a few mistakes in the last sentence.

Speak to you all soon, as I find these forums very useful as I'm always willing to learn new techniques or to be advised on different equipment, plus hopefully I can do the same for you.

Hey Ogofmole, a very warm welcome to you although it isn't that warm in South Wales at the moment eh Good to see another Nikon user onboard to exchange advice etc.

Looking forward to seeing your work and chatting with you in the forums soon.

P.s we do have a spell checker facility but it needs iespell to be installed for it to work. It's a life saver

I had a feeling you were going to say that I'll see what I can do about building one into the forums.

Default Infra-red

Hi bugzy, I presume that you are using a S9500, I have got a friend with one of these cameras, so I will see if it is capable of taking infra-red photos. and will let you know.

Hi Bugzy, First impressions with the S9500 and a infra-red filter is not very good, but there again it is a strange camera to me and the sun has been a bit lacking at the times that I can get out and use the camera. So don't give up hope yet. I will be caving all day tomorrow so I will not see any sun, but hopefully next week I will try again.
