Default Blessing form Holy land...Israel!

Hello!

Sorry if my English is not 100% perfect, as my native language is really Spanish...whatever I will try very hard to made myself comprehended!

Born near 66 years ago in Lima Peru...immigrate to Israel in 1963...

Being an a amateur photographer during my high School...after working for the big Photo Store there in Lima, when immigrate...enter to IDF....there my 3 years of military services...passed working as a "Field' photographer...when end my "Military Service"...begun working as an "Technical" photographer for the Government (Linhof/Sinar 4x5 inch size plates)...also film with a Arriflex 35mm movie camera... Hasselblad...& Nikon's/Leica among other gear.

Now my "Personally" 35mm film camera was a Minolta 7000 with the 7 lenses that NOW...I'm enjoying with my last week acquired Sony Alpha A900 body...yes completely agree that such "Vintage" Minolta/Tokina & Sigma brand lenses...designed primary for "Film" cameras, what readed from several forums..."Don't" work 100% well with DSLR...doesn't matter which brand...
As because now I'm a "Pensioner"...this expensive (Here!), A900 body...don't permit me to add the Zeiss "All a rounded" 24-70mm 2,8 zoom lens; for so...NOW...always I PP trough severally photo software's...(Picasa my primary photo organizer!), PSP 9.0.1, Gimp + Photo Scape...& back to the same photo folder in my Picasa...before I mail (98%)...such nature photos.

Now...Why...I decided to "Spell" such amount of money in a FF DSLR...primary...because such "HUGE" viewfinder...as film bodies!. yes...for such reason (7 Minolta A)...lenses I acquired 3 years ago a KM 7D...but now before I will "Pass to an a better life"...)...decided to return back to such "HUGE" viewfinder..& NO more cropping (1.5x).

For that...please...will make me extremely happier if I can get from you "TIPS"...for better results with my newer A900?

Thanks so much,

Peace,

Alex 007

Hi Alex, and welcome you must be the first on here with the A900 it tends to be all nikon and canon same as most places! I have the A350 but am about to get the Sony A700 as its dropped to a price point where i can get a serious camera for half the cost it was when launched.

Anyway will try and help anyway we can here, we are a friendly bunch

Hello Dennis,

Yes seems to us...that as here in "Holly land"...Sony/KM are NOT popularly. Enough "Crop 1.5X" sensors...now it's time to update to FF!.

Peace,

Alex 007
