Nice shot, I do like cows, they are so friendly and inquisitive. I like the angle that you choose to shot this from. Composition is good although as Dennis said the flies do seem to be a distraction.

Gave Gerty a spruce up, i know its subjective but i think its better without the flies. Hope you didnt mind as you do say yes edits and i have only tweaked quickly for comparison

I like it better than my original - I am not lucky enough to own a copy of Photoshop  I have to make do with Paint Shop Pro.
You could also try the same procedure with my other photo(a Corel Paint Shop modified version of this one)that I think I put in the wrong section yesterday
