Little Flower
Photographers Comments
First flower pic of the season for me so thought I would share. In our garden but not too sure what it is, so any horticulturalists among you please help!

This has a very similar feel and coloring to the photo i just uploaded.
I only found this site this morning.
Really good, well framed and composed shot.
They look like birds all flying together.

Very pretty flower, nice and sharp but I think I would have prefered a closer crop to focus more on the flower. My attention is distracted by the unopen buds at the top. Nice bokeh too

I know you guys are going to rib me for knowing this. i told you I was into nature as a child. I am pretty sure this is 'AQUILEGIA VULGARIS'
We used to pick these in Wales when I was a child of under ten. My great Aunt used to call them 'Grannies Bonnets' A wonderful plant.
Nice image, wonderful bokeh to highlight the main image.
Thanks for posting a bit of nostalgia for me.

Hi Folks, Thanks for the comments. If you are interested my daughter just identified it as Aquilegia Bertolonii - but you are right Denny, not a planned part of the garden so a weed! Nice one though. Had a look at your shot Harry, it does have a similar look.
Maureen, the framing was quite deliberate, I like the way the plant "hangs" and the stems were an essential part of the overall image.

Hi Tco, glad you like it, really is a delicate and pretty plant. Not sure how it arrived in our garden but it is welcome to stay!
