Hi Ken, this is a lovely shot, where the child is really studying something in his hands. And the black background keeps you focussed on the main subject. Good shot. Although I would probably remove that object to the left as I cannot work out what it is.

great lighting and a lovely capture of innocence (OH to be back there!!!) i don't mind the ball? in the BG as it seems to me that he is ignoring it in favour of something far more interesting...
