Nice pic but it looks exposed for the sky mate. I (as a fisherperson) would love to see the reeds etc...

I have coarse fished since I was about 6 mate. My fav species are pike and big eels. Had a 29lb 13oz 8 years ago at Broadlands. I have had a good portion of twenties, more doubles than i care to remember. Never broken the thirty though!
Eels...my glory moment was a 7lb monster from the 'black hole' in Romsey hants. I had a 6lb fish that looked a lot bigger from the river Test.
Freshwater eels mind you ( i know congers grow immense).
Best carp is only 19lb never been a fan really, I live 5 mins from white acres bud. Roach just under 2lb mark (river stour). Chub 5lb (stour again). Tench 4lb, perch 3lb (shock fish from hatchet pond, new forest...
I could go on but I am already asking for trouble with the guys taking the mick...
Had a pole for two seasons but sold it on in favour of the q-tip and the waggler.

I used to fish Whiteacres a lot when Andy & his dad owned it & I still lived in Newquay.
I tend to only fish the pole & love it when you get a manic carp on - lol.
There are supposed to be some good eel down & Bill's, but not my favorite, so I avoid.
I came down 25+ years ago from Burton, so as a kid, fished a lot on the Trent & Dove & down on the canal, now its any secluded hole that I can find.

I been here a little over ten years mate and my fishing time is now almost zero. I do need that early morning buzz though....that mist over the pond/lake surface high from childhood. I need to get myself kitted out again > still got my pike gear..hand built rods by barrie rickards and charlie bettells mate. But I flogged the last lot 3 months back. Its early in the year and I long for a quiet decent sized pond/mini lake to hit in the early hours. I'm up for this bud if you are.

I'm sure we can sort something - Bills doesnt open until 08.00, you might like Porth - just down the road from you - hard to fish, but usually catch .. plus if you dont want to go mad, I can pretty much kit you out, with a match rod or short quiver & either an Abu 507 or a Mitchell open face - everything you need except a landing net & seat .
Pete
