Scooters Parked
Photographers Comments
Four scooters that caught my eye on my walk around Stratford.
The thing that got me was the green one had its front wheel pointing in the opposite direction to the rest, strange I know.
I used the selective colour technique I hate so much, but I wanted to get some attention away from the car and the wall.

I think the selective colouring works well and focusses your attention on the scooters. Nice job

Hi Merv
The wall is a nice contrasting backdrop to the scooters, but the car should go. Have you tried selective area selection and cloning it out? It would be tricky, but not impossible.

Good job there Phil.
I can't seem to select the areas without getting obvious halo's and stuff, but everything I do in PS is self taught.
I want to do a course but time is always an issue.

I don't know why you hate the selective colours so much Merv, because it works a treat here! (I baggsie the red one)!!! I also agree that it's much better without the car as it gets a good vintage feel....nice edit phil

Cheers Paul, glad you like it..
Di, I just think it gets over used and it's a bit gimicky.
I think there was a gallery full of it back on DPF, and now it seems to be me doing it lol.
I do like this one though, printed me a copy and it's much better than on screen as the background is much darker so the car's nearly gone anyway
(BTW it's my insomnia night tonight...)

The scooters are standing out!!! I didn't pay much attention to the car until after I read the other comments. I think the operator of the green scooter is left handed....Pat
