Medieval Arches
Photographers Comments
I really would like some feed back on this on whether you think it’s over the top in terms of the processing.
My objective was to give a gothic feel.

Hi Martin i am going to be dead honest with you, i think it looks a shade too dark. The vignetting draws your eyes to that rather than the subject. Its only a small image as posted but it looks a tad over processed and sharp. Would have preferred the original i think, nice image of the ruins though in the first place.
Remember there is no right or wrong, others will probably say its fine and if you like it thats the ultimate opinion.

Hi Dennis
Hope your not a Baggies fan after last nights result!
No sharpening on this there is a texture, grain plus some scratching to give it an dated look.
Well that was the intension.
By the way the best team won I went!

Aston Villa mate through thick and thin, i thought the baggies did win?? Penny dropped you are wolves lol!!! As long as you are not a bluenose
Liked the image however the size we get posted make it difficult to see all the things you mentioned.
I am a fan of tweaking in Photoshop Elements, but i dont often do complete changes (except my spooky series i have just posted to contradict myself) generally a bit of sharpening, contrast adjustments, blurring stuff like that.

Hi Martin .... and now for another opinion .. I think this looks good .the way it is .. lol ... Love the look of these old arches .. and guess my eyes are different .. with the vignetting it makes me focus more on the arches ..
Cheers
Else
