[PP] Industrial Wasteland
Photographers Comments
Deliberately kept this dark and moody to reflect the grey, desperation of the 1000 people who worked here until recently. Except for the glint of blue sky which represents light at the end of the tunnel maybe....PS the vignetting was a deliberate act added in lightroom as was the effects.

Good shot Dennis. I think you achieved the moody, desperate feel. the dramatic cloud distribution adds to the whole feel. Only crit is I feel it would look better if the puddle at the front was cropped.
Where is this looks like a good place for some interesting photography

You must be feeling depressed too - I just posted an image called 'The Wasteland'! I like yours, but I would like to see a little more detail, or perhaps closer in? Surely this is not West Brom, that paradise of the West Midlands?

Hi Mareen, take your point but i left the puddle so i got the blue sky reflected.
Rob, limited by the focal length on my PP, took some other shots but were out of the criteria. No it wasnt sunny west bromwich on sea it was Darlaston! Added another shot just for you

You can see this as you come down the M6 from Junction 10 on your left, it was the James Bridge Copper works. You have to go round the other end of the Darlaston road to access where i was. You are limited though all my shots had to be through the fence built to keep it secure. Should be ok with a zoom though.

Hi Dennis.. it sure looks depressing gloom and doom .. and think it does help when you give a little line or two .. telling a person what it is all about ... Isn't a shame how businesses fold and leave so many people looking for work ..
Cheers
Else
