Default Old Tin Shack

Photographers Comments
Not sure what it ever was, but I was struck by the rust colour against the green backdrop, as well as the wonky angle (the tree is upright before anyone says straighten your horizon!) - a bit of serious landslip I think!

Peter

Everything in this image is truly beautiful but I feel that you have included way too much. By you title, the tin shack is the subject but my eye doesn't spend much time on the subject. I feel that if you chop the composition in half (horizontally), you have 2 great pictures. When I scroll down half way, leaving just the shack and immediate surroundings the shack really pulls into main focus. It is surrounded with lots of warm colors and interesting textures

I think this is an example of how we can become locked in to one facet and miss a better presentation of an image. I was so determined to include the upright tree to give horizontal/vertical perspective I didn't look at any other presentation. You are quite correct, a square format really does make the most of the subject. Thanks for your critique and advice.

Pete.

but keep in mind that this is just one opinion. I do that all the time; fall in love with one element and then I rationalize around it. The background is very nice and I can see why you would want to include it.
