High Speed Sync Flash Experiment Crit please

i know its a very difficult subject!!! tried bumping up the shutter speed to 1/2000 setting off camera flash at High Speed Sync setting to light the side of the candle and exposed with spot metering on the flame.

Would like feedback whether settings e.t.c were right or if it worked e.t.c Just trying to see what is possible with new camera/kit.
