[PP] Speed Project
Photographers Comments
Trying to simulate speed on a toy fighter plane. I focused on the nose of the plane and using timed exposure, panned my zoom lens in. Of course I had my camera on a tripod.
The texture on my carpet created the speed lines. Id like more contrasts to make better use of the B&W. Think Ill try a background that is more textured or dramatic next time. I used a little photo editing to get rid of the stand the plane was on.
Not happy with my first attempt, but will keep working on this one.
This image was specifically created for a Personal Project created by our project randomiser. This photo was created using the following randomly chosen criteria:
Theme: Speed
Light: Other Light Source (Non flash or Natural)
Focal Distance: 70-105mm
Location: Indoors
Colour Type: Black and White

Good effort, not as bad you make out. i like it. lots of thought here. creative juices really flowing and technically nothing wrong, all i would do is up the brightness and contrast as you also state.. great first image. well done!!

Just as Andy has said, give it a little more contrast especially the plane to make it POP.
Very creative, you did have me wondering what on earth you were going to come up with using the theme speed and the location being indoors.
Congrats and looking forward to seeing more of your projects.

Nice one Debbie,
I don't normally like this effect but you really nailed it this time.
The jet looks to be flying out of a tunnel straight at you and you still got focus on the cockpit.

Wow! You've really encouraged me. I wasn't happy with it, but seeing it from your eyes give me another perspective.
Still going to work on it. I have a few ideas to make it better.
Thanks so much, everyone.

As Paul said an inspired idea given the criteria,i think it's a cracking shot for your first attempt.
