Try changing the Apature or F no... Use apature priority mode on your camera and try different stop's again F no's the higher the no the wider the DOF (Depth of Field) Decide if you want one of the flowers in focus or all. You will achieve this with the F no or apature or stop they are all the same thing. a low no gives a narrow DOF and a high No the opposite.
Also try switching to manuel focus for still life zoom into the subject and focus up then zoom out to your chosen framing with this and the apature set to your liking your focus should be spot on...
This is a basic setting up of your camera for this shot, there are many other things you can try in a more creative vain.
Hope this helps you in some way...

I know that this is personal taste but I LOVE the composition and the exposure and placement of the lip of the vase; really adds an artistic touch for me. I'm wondering if it is oversharpened at tad?....I'm seeing jaggies outlining the smooth leaves.

Fay did you click the bar to view full size?
The forum sometimes does funny things when it resizes images, looks smooth here.

This is the better shot of the two.
I love the focussing and the shot as a whole is clean and uncluttered. Black looks jet black and works really well against the colour of the flowers. The colour itself is again very clean and almost synthetic (meant as a compliment)
I wonder if a portrait crop would further enhance it.
Good shot Lisa, one to be happy with.

Great shot and you have got the most amazingly vibrant colours going on here.. I agree with TC-oh and that maybe a portrait crop would look better but its still a stunning shot. nice work
