Not sure about this - I think the ditgital effects are too much - I think the image could have worked as a straight forward reportage shot without the motion zoom - looks very like a guy that works in the shop below my studio actually, but I don't think he has been to Thailand. Would like to see it without blur. great pose though! thanks for sharing

hi Steven, I also feel that the background takes away from this gorgeous animal. I'm thinking maybe you are trying to make the best of a busy background. It's very interesting but doesn't work for the elephant. I think that on a solid background this guy would really stand out. I think that the lighting is fantastic and the perspective works well also. Lots of beautiful detailing

Sorry, got to say it, this treatment of making animals perform makes me sick ! I hope you didnt pay money to fund the cretins that hold this farce of a show ! I know you have attempted to create something from this, but i just feel that had the animal been a natural shot, i would be able to give better comment, sorry.

hard artworking like this only works for certain types of impact and effects. not sure its really working here..looks like a new program has been found and all the filters tested..
Agree with earlier post that the Elephant would have been better presented in its current surroundings..maybe selective BG blur and slight density changes would have made the eye pick out the animal just as well..

Nik & Ric,
Thanks to your honest comment. I respect your culture. Next time I won't post such photo. Ric, I know how you feel coz I am an animal lover. I see this show because I am following the tour group & this is part of the journey. By the way, Ric, hope you are a vegetarian. This is the best way to love our animals & also extremely good to our health too.
Andy,
Thanks for your comment. Since this type of photo will hurt someone loving heart, I think I won't give another try. Anyway, thanks for the constructive critiques.
Fay,
You are right. I use the special filter coz' the backgound is full of tourist.
Andy,
Yes this is another blur filter in PS. You might be right, the effect could be overdone.

Hi Di I dont think any one was being rude just honest...
We have had lots of problems in the UK with circus acts using Animals and documentaries of them being tortured. Much the same as the cosmetic industry. I am not a vegitarian and do enjoy meat, But I would hope the animals that are killed for our food are looked after and killed in a humane way and not made to perform for our entertainment beforehand. I respect vegitarians and ther beliefs and ways and hope they respect mine.
