Had a play with textures not sure if it’s a little over the top.
Tried to give it an oldie rolled up tattered canvass feel to it?

I think the tree is a stunning specimen, has a bit of a Dr.Suess thing going for it in shape and straggliness... so good spotting there.
The colouring works for me...is excellent and works well to give that old, worn and 'grungey' look which I always enjoy.
Personally though, I find the canvas effect just a wee bit much.
There are more subtle textured surfaces that in my opinion would still give similar effect without being overpowering of the subject, that awesome tree. Good One!
