Thanks for the reply.....I took 5 frames - identical, 3 showed no streak, 2 did.If it's lens flare how come all 5 frames didn't show it?

Could it be a thread of spiders web in that corner and depending on when you take the shot, the flash pics up the delicate thread making it glow? Were you under anything that could've made this a possiblity?

There are a lot of factors, it's a random event to begin with, slight changes in composition, frequency of the light source, could even be your flash being reflected back off something...
