I open 3 nikon raw files into a program called Photomatix, 1 of these were underexposed by 2 stops, 1 was normal and the other one overexposed by 2 stops, I then choose HDR in Photomatix and then Generate, next I went into Tone Mapping and played about with lots of sliders (can't remember which ones - but most of them ). Then saved as jpeg and opened into CS2 and played with levels then posted here.

Hi Barry it is a lovely photo .. and yes that halo over the land is not good .. Jadon might have some idea .. I know that he has done a fair amount of this HDR, or perhaps if you check on the net they might have discussed it as to what causes it .. .. It's really good when it is done well ... I think ...
Cheers
Else
