This works very well with the black background and you have got just about the right amount of background for this shot in my opion, how did it do in your competition. I must remember this one just in case we get a competition with that subject.

Thanks Barry, tried several shots, some ended up with catching reflections from the cooker itself. Managed to get it in the top 10 for the month. Cheers.x

Thank you Andy, the only problem with trying to get the rest of the ring was reflection problems and singe the hair lol

Brave shot Lorraine exposing your lens to all that heat!
I agree with both the lads comments above. Shame about that defined line running throught the bottom but that is down to the cooker i'm guessing.
Really good shot and congrats for getting in with the top ten

Nice shot also.. I too think you were brave but more so for using the gas with all the price rises taking four shots must have cost a fortune lol. Oh well when we cant afford the bills any more we can all huddle around this shot many thanks....

Thanks Tco & Nik. Yes to the line being down to the cooker. Had to wait for the middle of the night as the cooker is actually white and didn't like the effect that had in the first few shots. Again, this is why trying to get a slightly different angle led to catching the white background of it. Will have to hastle friends to see who's got a dark cooker without the dials being so high to avoid the line LOL.x Thanks for the support.x
