Early this morning this dragon fly got trapped in doors.....great photo op except it was banging its head against the window trying to get out!!!
It sat on my sons hand and posed for a couple of shots before getting out side again.
Played with the image in PS adding my own sky background.

Dragonflys got no sting Nik. The tail end is for mating only mate. Males use the tail to clasp the females behind the head and females use to grab the sperm from the male.
Di....first off nice rescue and God bless you for that girl!
These poor things don't live that long after leaving the water so I am happy you have helped. When I first saw the added sky I was a bit unsure until I saw how well you blended the wings, particularly the top right handside of the image.
What was the background of the original pic?

LOL Nik...am very concerned about you mate, am sending pampers to go with Tco's matalan jumbo y-fronts!
Tco....I didn't touch the wings at all, the background just blended well with the sky I suppose. I tried a solid background first, also blue and taken from the wings....but it looked to harsh. The original background is through the window to my back yard and the bluish tint in the wings is the concrete pavers. A bit unromantic looking for such a beautiful creature.
I was surprised at how it just got on to my son's hand, not just once but twice and sat for a while there.....it was as if it knew he was going to help him fly back to freedom!
