Very well composed image here, giving a good sense of movement, the white line leads you straight into the image. The only thing that lets this image down is that burnt out sky although it has exposed well in the near car reflection. But the rest of the image is so good this is only nit-picking.

Thanks for the kind comments Ogofmole! How would I have gone about not getting the sky burnt out? Would that be a different 'ISO' setting? Cheers

By under-exposing the image. But you would have been better shooting in RAW then you could have adjusted the exposure later, as long as it was not completely burnt out.

Yes Raw is a alternative to Jpeg, both have their advantages and disadvantages. The link that Andy supplied should answer a lot of your questions.

Dave your car pics are good composition wise mate. Do some homework on camera techniques to improve the lighting. This one would be excellent but the sky lets it down. I would urge you to seriously pursue this because you have something when it comes to automotive pics. Keep at it. Looking forward to seeing your technical ability progress

Thanks a lot Tco, much appreciated. As you may have read I'm hoping to purchase my first DSLR as soon, I'll be able to develop (no pun intended) my technique then. I can't wait to get one!
