Top bloke, very brave of you. took guts and courage..
My niece is currently just back out of hosp..again. she has a mass sat beside her brain. went away, came back. therapy, chemo, tablets, blood transfusions etc.. she's only 7.. been like it for 4 years now..
My heart goes out to the parents. Now i have william, i struggle often with anything to do with children esp when its bad news
But you have an amazing last photo. You have given the parents something happy for them to have for years to come

Thanks to all kind responses here. I was unsure as to whether I would be able to cope with photographing such a dramatically sad time in the lives of this brave family. Although I was a stranger to these people, I felt an immediate bond and sense of loss when the little girl finally lost her struggle, and as did the family, I too sat and cried for her. I have other images of this little angel, however I feel that it would be undignified to post them. Even though I feel honoured to be asked share with this family, I pray that I shall never be asked to repeat such an experience again.

Phew, like TCO I'm a little lost for words but this is a real reminder of the suffering of some children and their families are going through.
Children are so precious, watching them grow, learn news things, there isn't anything else like it! To have this taken away so early or at any age, I can't start to think what her parents and family are going though.
This really has brought a tear to my eyes and my thoughts will be with her family.
