Breaking the rules has worked great here, by placing the Pier bang in the middle of the image. Enough detail in the sky as not to distract, the breaking waves, and the bendy steps all go to make a wonderful shot.

Fantastic Graham - really good shot - the sky and waves alone are great but the Pavilion is superb...wonderul mate (as usual...said with pride and not envy...well maybe a little...)

Rules are made to be broken and this shot shows why, very nice indeed, and I would imagine looks even better large.

Great shot.
I've seen something simular to this too. I think it was in a camera mag, probably Digital Camera. It was a few years ago but I'm sure they converted it to a HDR.

Beautiful shot Graham, I think the way the image starts from the foreground and fans out with the inserts in the paving is what makes this composition really work.

Nothing negative to be found IMHO.
