There must be many of these abandoned Mines in the area ... nice to get a subterranean view.

Hi M, Nice subject matter here, pity that the flash has burnt out the lower left hand corner and first timber upright. You may find using a lower ISO and smaller aperture may help if you have only got one flash, because by using a lower ISO you can bring back some detail from a darker parts of the image without having the burnt out bits.

I tried using a flash with horrid results. I had some sort of a lamp to the side on this one.
I'm at the bottom end of a steep learning curve and not too sure what I am doing. This was towards the start of the day, the rest got better as I stumbled my way through. Practice,practice,...

Considering that you have only just started with your new camera to learn as well, you are getting quite good images. but as you say underground photography is a big learning curve especially concerning light. But the main thing is to have fun and experiment.

Hi, this is so much better and more natural looking. Your light source looks a lot more even without burning out the foreground, although the one timber at the bottom could have done with being darkened. I will look forward to seeing more underground shots from you.

I have bought a Fenix P3D LED torch. I use it to lightpaint.
I shall post some more photos.
