Toby real nice to see you posting, nice image but for me all i see is the copyright. I can understand why you have added it but it detracts from the image for me.

Lovely shot Toby I like the poppy lead in ... I keep seeing all these beautiful scenes of poppies , now this one with the grain fields bordered with poppies . England must be beautiful this time of the year . We don't see sights like this around my part of the world .

As for the copyright, I have attached a newspaper page with one of my pics used without permission in an advert!! My bathroom, my image, and finally...it's me in the shot!!!!!
Hence copyright from now on ;-(
Any views on this?? ;-)

Toby, I am wondering where it was taken from .. how did they so call scoop it.. and think I might phone the company .. and ask . why or how they got it ..?? Is there no legal leg that you can stand on ... without the © on a photo?? I would be a little annoyed to say the least.
It looks like a large ad ... so wondering if it is a large company, are they willing to cut you a large cheque .. ??

Hi Toby, great poppy field shot with nice lines and colour.

But getting back to your other shot I can remember you posting that here (another great shot from you), I'm surprised that they could reproduce a image that size from the file under 256kb. Have you made contact with the Bathroom company, if so what did they say.

Basically, to cut a long story short, I pulled the add with the paper after spouting copyright infringement quotes from Getty as well as lack of model release rights from me. It turns out that the limited edition signed print (18" by 12") that I sold at the gallery had been scanned in by the paper on the understanding that Quarter Studios had authorised it (which was obviously a lie by the bathroom store owner who had bought the print!)
He is going to give me a reasonable 'donation' for the image and has also agreed to my logo and website address on the bottom right of the image (which has boosted my website hits by 120%)
Although I was very peed off to start with, this has almost turned out quite well in the end but it would have been nice to ask me first!
I will be watermarking everything in future and have wiped all my stuff on facebook too as it can still be used on the web at those resolutions.
Lesson learnt! ;-)

I have genuine fractals which can blow an image up by 1000% without quality loss. At focus on Imaging they had taken a 10mp image and blown it up and printed it and it was around 11ft x 5ft. so a 250k image could be 25mp with this program. So nothing is safe.
