Motion on a rain day

This was the photo that I entered into the competition this month. The subject was motion/movement. It got a 2nd!!!!! I took it through the car window - trying to dodge the window screen wipers that were on intermittant!

Actually, under the circumstances it is a good image. Maybe I would have liked to see a slightly slower shutter speed to create some motion trails from the lights of the car(s) in front. But that is only my preference.
Was this along the A550?

i think phils right the longer exposure would have been good.. well caught you did great not to get reflections

I WAS THE PASSENGER!!!!!!!

Did try a slower shutter speed but that didn't work well with the windscreen wipers!
This month it's 'Toys and games' so any ideas most welcome

Hi Kay,
If you go and look at the neighbours dustbins on Dec, 26th/27th. I bet you'll see a load of potential broken and discarded subjects there.
The rubish they pass off these days as toys never seems to last until after Boxing Day.

Congrats...always a nice surprise. Even if I didn't know what you were trying for, I like the whole feel here and I think it's how it's composed. You have the lanes going on an angle, which intimate movement. Like how it is light on the upper corner and the lower corner, which I think also creates a real feeling of movement when it is combined with the rest of the composition which is dark and diagonal
