Rule of thirds

As I have already said I am a novice and have decided to try to use the tutorials to gain more knowledge. Here is my first attempt using the "Rule of Thirds" tutorial. I have posted the original and amended photo's to my gallery. Have I improved this? Your comments would be appreciated.

Hi Glenys, you have improved this image by going the right way (if you had have a nice stormy or sunset sky then you could have had 2/3 sky) also it was nice to see that you cropped slightly off centre. Also with your improved image I would have gone in a bit closer to lose that one scaffold post on the left but I think this had to be done when taking the image, because if you crop in any more I don't think it would work. But this one would be a good image to practice your cloning techniques and clone the top off that pole.
