Default Post box in the wall.

Photographers Comments
Desaturated and coloured with history brush. Slow learning bits of PS.

Personal opinion? I would have desaturated the whole image and just left the red letterbox in colour. Just a point you have more control over the shades of grey if use a black and white layer adjustment because you can then play with all the different slider to get a nice effect.

Thanks for that Dennis, I did originally do just the box, but got carried away. Thanks also for the info about layers. Still learning PSP.

de-saturating is the right way to go if you havent got a black and white layer option, if you convert to greyscale which is the quickest you have no options like the desaturate route. There are no options to play with the colours, unsure of the options in PSP havent used for a long time.
