Problem with my Nikon D200
I know this isn't really a site for problems, but I was hoping for some help. I am experiencing a new problem with my Nikon D200. I have not changed the settings recently, but suddenly it is coming up with a graduated black line in every photo I take. I have attached a photo to explain this better.
What could it be, and how do I fix it?
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a flash sync problem, i.e. shutter speed selected is above the maximum possible speed which I think is 1/200s for the D200.
EXIF data may help..
If you weren't using flash then not sure, maybe a rear curtain problem? That would probably result in needing a new shutter assembly.

This is a strange effect, that I have not heard or seem before, it is as if the sensor has moved within the camera body. Sorry that I can't enlighten you any more, but I would be very interested in knowing what has caused this once you have it sorted.
By the way welcome to the forum, and we will look forward to seeing some of your work in the gallery's soon.

Hi there. Just a couple of questions to see if i can maybe trace the issue
Is this happening to the same degree and in the same position in every shot?
Is it there when you use different lenses (and what lenses)?
When you remove the lens from the body, is there anything loose around the body mount?
Are you using any hoods/filters on the lenses?

Merv has hit the nail on the head for me. defo curtain issue with it either being flash sync wrong or the camera is set to rear curtain sync and the flash is firing too late
