On Yer Bike in Oxford (no trespass this time)
Photographers Comments
In Oxford, bikes seem to be the preferred method of transport for students, locals and visitors. Due to the policies on car parking, good public transport cars are very few. Liked these bikes along the railings and thought i would try a new perspective and using live view and my angled screen, i got down very low for the shot.

Good angles in this one, and those railings lead you into the image nicely, that bit of cloud breaks up the blue sky well and as you said those bikes really worked well, and I like the fact that you have cropped the back end of that first bike out making it not the main subject although your eye is drawn to it. Nice old buildings as well.

Glad you picked up on all the things i liked and aimed for, deliberately shot half the first bike as you say to draw the eye, i focussed on the 2nd bike in a wide aperture and let the railings do the rest. Thanks for the comments Mate, i know you tell the truth so i appreciate it when you say good things (and bad actually so i can learn)

That is the beauty of this site as we all get to know each other, we can comment more openly and accept different members viewpoints on any particular image.

Barry, the only way i know to learn is read, listen, watch and take it all in and make considered judgements about things and then go and try it. You can rip my images to bits if it helps me to improve, However i agree when you get to know someone you can be a tad more honest!
Dave thanks for the comments, same as Barry i know you dont say things you dont mean as well. Cheers mate.

A nice image that sums up Oxford, everything works well only suggestion I would consider making is cropping the building to the left which I find a bit distracting, but thats only a personal preference
