Looking through a window in the side of an archway leading you into a churchyard.

You pick some difficult subjects Maureen, lighting hard to get right here, expose for window frame and outside under-exposed, expose for outside and frame is black. you did ok though. nicely framed though.

Hi Maureen: I like the framing of this shot reminds me of one of my earlier shots 'This Ole House 2' which you commented on and did a version of in your crit to me. Agree with the difficulty of choosing which area to try to expose for?? But you've done good

My sort of shot Maureen, I love dark subjects & you have captured the frame well...
My personal twist would have been to add a dark vignet..

This reminds me of an image I took many years ago on the Isle of Iona, Scotland.

It is a nicely composed image. Have you considering going back to the place when the sun was at a different angle, or at sunset, to achieve different effects and moods?

Thanks for looking A Wilsher glad you like it. Someone else suggested the same thing about going back and capturing it at different times of the day. May just give it a go

You have got the exposure right with the frame in perfect focus.
Since the picture is through the window, my eyes wants to focus on the outside. Maybe a higher f stop would have been in order to have everything in sharp focus.
