beautiful shot .. stick the camera on bulb, plug in shutter switch/ remote
f11 - f16, ND grad to give the sky a bit of umph and push it back, camera on a tripod and open shutter for a few shots at different exposure times ie... "0.6"
and enjoy... fore ground interest and lead in lines work well ... there im not teaching you anymore you know far too much haha

Hdr it...reduce all the settings and layer in p/shop. No need for neutral grads this way Of course 3 exposures are preferable to the one RAW with a stop or two difference in the software option

If you shoot in RAW then via layers you can replicate nearly all filter effects anyway. ND filters bring more image information into the photo...think about it. Shooting multi's (you have this luxury with landscapes) can do the same thing....in fact more.

If you are using film then filters are a Godsend.

Did you shoot in RAW Pete ?
Email me the file bud.

That is exactly what I do, I don't use any NG filters now with Digital, although I still have a set from my film days.

TCO, thanks for the offer, but due to the fact that I only have PSP X2 & cannot afford to get Photoshop, I have gone back to shooting in jpeg fine as I cannot process raw files very easily & do not have any hdr programmes either
Pete

Hi Pete, I like this one, the sky really makes this one and seeing the reflections in the water, although I would have linked to see a bit more detail in the boat.

Me too mate. Kept the old lee and cokins but they never get used to be fair.

Although to be fair an overall ND can help when trying to shoot longer exposures for water if you are trying to get the blurred/misty look and the conditions are too bright to get the shutter speed longer than a second.

Pete check yer PM bud.
