Default I have bought my first DSLR

Thanks to all the good advice I've found on this forum and some other research, I've chosen and bought the camera that suits me and what I want to be able to do.

Sorry Canon users, I went for the Nikon D40

I'm looking forward now to getting to grips with my nice new shiny camera and posting a photo or two for you to critique and help me improve.

Hi Anne, I have just noticed that it is your Birthday to-day, so Happy Birthday if you are still sober enough to read this post . So I presume that the camera was a birthday present to yourself.

Hi Anne, congratulations on your purchase. I've had a D40X for about 2 months and still getting to grips with what button does what lol

Hi Anne, congrats on the new purchase, I'm sure you'll be really happy with it.
By now you probably know how good any DSLR feels to use, I can still remember the grin I had when I first tried my Grandad's D80.
You need to edit your profile now
