Well I'd love to get a Mac but that costs money. Instead I got me a man who builds / mends PCs and that costs me bugger all!

I've even learnt to do a bit of upgrading myself, installed a slave drive & more memory.

I guess today is the day then Mello, has your new toy arrived?

No Mu it bloody well hasn't...

Apparently due to a high volume of orders from recent offers it's still in the production stage...

Hello Steve ...This is the Global excuse with Dell ... for this very reason, when Dell delivered My Lap Top at their convenience and not mine ... due to exactly the same reason ... I refused to accept it from the Courier. My Monies were refunded in full, simply because Dell had broken their advertised "Delivery Agreement"
Forums throughout the World mention the problems of ordering the Dell ... which is Manufactured in Malaysia.
In the Digital World ... Laptops are NOW!
My condolences Mello ... this is the flip side of dealing with Dell ... unless You are a Corporate.

It all comes back to Me now Mello ... twice I have paid for and awaited Dell Computers.
Firstly it was a Dell Dimension Desktop, which went beyond the delivery Date, but Dell Boy
did have the courtesy of Ringing Me at 2.30 am in the Morning, to tell Me ... blah blah blah.
They were in Malaysia, I was in New Zealand. After much anticipation in receiving a PC "custom built"
... it was a complete downer to now be told ... but, I can have a Year of Norton's or something for free,
but not the Computer ... yet :]
The problem was Mello, that during the time I had committed to Dell Boy ... and He had "committed" to Me,
which He did not keep to, because of of the "delivery delay", better Models became available through
other Dealers.
When I purchased my Laptop from Dell Boy, when Delivery was not met, the most frustrating thing was to try
and contact anyone via email, and get any answers. In the end I had to Pose as a Corporate Client wanting
100 Laptops to get any attention, then my emails were answered.
Further Mello ....ooh! ... I see it is almost the Full Moon *redrum* *redrum*, during both experiences with the
Dell Boy Delivery Service, My Credit Card was reimbursed immediately.

I am not knocking the Dell Computer ... as I have never experienced one, but I have been Served by them

Good to know your experiences Mate,i ordered mine on a Wed/faxed paperwork Thur/paperwork processed Fri.....

So strictly speaking if it's 7 WORKING days it should be this Tue coming??? but due to the high order volume was told up to 10 days,so this Fri coming fingers CROSSED!!!

I went for a Dell as the spec i got for the money could not be matched by anyone else!!! I know a lot of people who have used them with no problems at all (and swear by them) so at the moment i am reserving judgment......(Watch this space)???

Although if it's not with me by Fri then and only then will i let loose the "The Dogs of WAR!!!"

I shall find a suitable outcrop of rock whilst at Bosley Cloud tomorrow morning around sunrise and Wave in the general direction of New Zealand??? (hmmm Atlas needed)...

Dear Tedz,

I must say i find your method of communication to be most uncouth!!!

Therefore just for FUN i shall photograph myself tomorrow at 7am WAVING preserving the Exif as proof of said act and i will post it in this thread.

Being a man of Honour as well as being about as daft as me i would appreciate it if you did the same at 6pm (11 hours difference i think) also preserving the exif to prove to all members that we did in fact WAVE to each other and indeed both as mad as a box of frogs...
