Hi guys i need some advise
I mean advice sorry.
I havent been on for a few months due to frustration of not being able to afford a camera! Basically, I have been offered a second hand Cannon 400d with kitlens and a few CF cards for £250. Ive had the camera for a week now and played about with it and absolutely love it i think its great. Thing is, you can buy this kit now for £380 brand new with waranty and instruction manual (its missing) and so on. I would rather not spend so much but not then again its not a lot more.. Should I pay £250 for a second hand 400d in good condition? comes with battery charger, CF cards, strap, all caps and the 18-55 af lens. Thanks for your help guys

how old is the camera? still within the 1yr for the warranty?
new cameras are like cars, lose value as soon as you buy them. manuals are usually available for pdf download or about £5 from canon (mind you that was when i asked for one for the 540ez speedlite a few years ago!
sounds like a good deal to me. the overall package is good as well. you seem happy and dont want to pay more so i'd go for it.
look forward to some images from it!
Andy

good thinking! cant decide wether to get a wide angle or a macro lens next. I like the 18-55 lens though it seems really versatile, i suppose thats why its in the kit!

Try the Sigma 10-20mm lens, this is a excellent wide angle lens that can produce some excellent shots.

It really depends on what you like shooting???
I have the Sig 10mm-20mm wideangle and the Sig 105mm macro and they're both CRACKING lenses...
